It is likely that Hendrik Muller visited Cape Coast after he visited Elmina. Cape Coast is the former British Capital of the Gold Coast, situated circa 15 kilometres east of Elmina. All photo's of Cape Coast show views of the town and were most likely bought by him.
Photo of Commercial Street, the business centre, towards the south. The high building middle left was originally a merchant's house, but for a long time has also been used as the palace of the traditional king (omanhin) of Cape Coast. In 2001 the building housed a restaurant. Notice the black blotches in the street: persons who escaped the image because of the long exposure time.
