It is likely that Hendrik Muller visited Cape Coast after he visited Elmina. Cape Coast is the former British Capital of the Gold Coast, situated circa 15 kilometres east of Elmina. All photo's of Cape Coast show views of the town and were most likely bought by him.
Government House was originally a merchant's house from circa 1840. Later, the British government on the Gold Coast acquired the building and converted into offices. At the time of Muller's visit it was a hospital. Recently, the building was completely restored and renamed as Heritage House. It is one of the important architectural landmarks in central Cape Coast.
